I was surprised to get back from vacation to see that More Lucky Lines was still for sale. I called the OLG to confirm the situation and they told me that it is indeed the case. I can't be bothered to provide any details on the game's status as there is little chance that anyone will be able to find a ticket.
The OLG retires games in two ways. First, they can instruct sellers to return all tickets, including any in trays for sale. This would happen if there was a defect found in the game or fraud was suspected. The second way is to inform sellers that they are no longer permitted to activate any new packages but can continue to sell tickets that were activated previously. This would take place if the game was being retired for reasons of low sales, time on market, or a new version of the game coming on-line. In the case of More Lucky Lines, sellers were instructed on 01 August not to activate any new packages. What are the chances that you'll be able to find loose tickets for sale almost three weeks later? Well, I'm not going to spend any time finding out. If you run across them, scoop them up.
Five new games have come on line since the last update. Fruit Explosion #1803 has unfortunately lost 2 of its three Grand Prizes early on in the history of the game. One to avoid. Instant Crossword #3206 is one of those jumbo games with over 20 million tickets issued. It is a bread and butter game for the OLG but it sucks for players. There are lots of small prizes but less than 1 percent of the game's revenue is returned to Grand Prize winners. Too low. Jacks are Wild #1787 is a well balanced game with potential to improve in the ratings. The one thing I don't like about the game is that there are 7 Grand Prizes and only 2 Second Prizes. Your chance to find a second prize is 1 in 1.4 million but only 1 in 400,000 to win a Grand Prize. Counter intuitive. Cross Tripler #1791 is not as good as its sister version #1766. It's OK but I don't like the 13.6% of game revenue that is returned to players who win their $5 back. That is the highest such number in the $5 group of tickets. Wild 10's #1785 has an imbalance towards the Grand Prize with 10.7% of game revenue going to those winners. There are 150 of them. You pay the price in smaller prizes with only 43.4% of revenue being returned to winners of more than $10 and less than $100. That is second lowest in the group.
More Lucky Lines and Money Multiplier are going to be nigh impossible to find. Prestige is next but I have played them before and am not enthused about returning to that game. I don't like playing $1 games so Red Hot 50s is out. That leaves me with Wild 10s which also happens to be CL66's top game. Let's give it a whirl.
But I am left with the uncomfortable thought that they sold 2.5 million tickets for the game and then decided to retire it before any Grand Prizes were awarded. If I ran a raffle, sold tickets, and decided that there would be no winners, I think that I might get a visit from my local police officer.
So, why did the OLG make this decision and is it in the public interest or the interest of the OLG? In such instances, the public interest should always come first. Lets look at some of the math:
If the OLG had sold every ticket for the game they would have generated total revenue of $3 x 2,949,000 tickets = $8,849,000. The house take was 35% or $3,097,290. I now make an assumption that the OLG pays a total of 15% of revenue to pay the sellers and the company that prints the tickets. That reduces the profit to $1,769,880. We need to take 84% of that number as that is how much of the float was ultimately sold. The estimated final profit is therefore $1,486,699.
Now lets look at the top seven prizes for the game. Those prizes totaled $245,000. If 84% of those prizes had been won, they would have cashed for $205,800 with $39,200 left outstanding. By retiring the game the OLG became the winners of the $205,800. That decision added a full 12% to the profitability of the game. That stinks and I can't help but think that the decision maker(s) knew exactly what they were doing.
I encourage readers to call the OLG call center and register their dissatisfaction. Poor old Darth deserves no less.

Top Rated Games
- $3 More Lucky Lines - (16% of float left +/- 3%)
- $5 Money Multiplier - (11%, +/- 2%)
- $10 Prestige (25%, +/- 7%)
- $1 Red Hot 50s (15%, +/- 1%)
- $10 Wild 10s (81%, +/- 2%)
Games to Avoid
- $10 Turbo Cash - Top three prizes all claimed. OLG has retired the game.
- $5 Sapphire 7's - Top two prize levels claimed.
- $2 Crazy 8's - 4 of 5 top prizes claimed and 44% of float remains
- $3 Fruit Explosion - 2 of 3 top prizes claimed in first 34% of the float
- $3 Crossword 3206 - 1 chance in 2 million to win $50,000. Not encouraging.
$1 - $2 Game Update
Red Hot 50s is the best choice but I don't like the $50 Grand Prize. Next best is $1 Bingo Express but best to look elsewhere.$3 Game Update
Putting the top game aside, Scrabble 1799 is the best choice.$4 - $5 Game Update
If you can find any Money Multiplier tickets, give them a try.$10 - $20 Game Update
Classic Gold and Cadillac (poster CL66 likes this game) are poor choices. All others are playable, assuming that Turbo Cash is no longer available.Comings and Goings
The horrible Tetris game was retired after the OLG had milked it for all it was worth. Shame on them for that. 20X Lucky was also retired with one Grand Prize remaining and 12% of the float.Five new games have come on line since the last update. More Lucky Lines is a true enigma. All four of the top prizes and all three of the second prizes remain unclaimed. At the same time, only 3 of the 105 - $538 prizes remain outstanding and all 12 of the $500 have been claimed. What are the chances that this game could sell 85% of its float and not reveal any Grand Prizes? Less than 1 in a thousand. Outliers do occur and this is surely one for the record books. CL66 mentioned in a post that the floats are printed in tranches. Makes perfect sense. Another poster mentioned that with a house take of 35%, there is no need for any shenanigans by management. I agree. Further, the OLG is a public sector organization which means that it is run by Public Servants. All of this leads to the conclusion that we are just looking at a odd ball situation. But I am left with the uncomfortable thought that they sold 2.5 million tickets for the game and then decided to retire it before any Grand Prizes were awarded. There doesn't seem to be much of a shortage of Multi Money tickets in my neck of the woods. That seems weird since the were a couple hundred thousand less of them "supposedly" distributed than Lucky Lines. Still 2 - $100,000.00 prizes left but it's kind of threadbare underneath. Sorta makes it an all or nothing deal, although it would be nice to grab $100K. But then again you just gotta be in the right place at the right time to win on any ticket.
ReplyDeleteLloyd,
ReplyDeleteGood points.
Doug
Shame on OLG, integrity ethics and fair gaming they claim.
ReplyDeleteJust by seeing the amount of money multiplier in stores lately makes me think they maybe just released the final batch and maybe cl66 is right that potentially lucky lines final batch never got released or even printed..
I wouldnt have played the game if lucky lines page said that potentially grand prizes may never be released or recalled when it was favourable for them to do so, but no it says no such thing..just states how many tickets and odds on winning the grandprizes ..
Pretty shady and fraudulent..
I like scratch tickets because I thought it was fact that the odds were x and there was y amount of large prizes and the #s of tickets released. .and all you had to do was buy the right tickets at the right retailer. .I suppose I was wrong....around $1200 bucks wrong.. (lost track. .approx.)
I shall be having a discussion with R.C.M.P. fraud busters to see my options..
I expect I'll be a nice Canadian and get a run around from someone, wind up thanking them and just move on..lol..as a whole from what's in the news we're a very passive bunch :)
Deletethats just scratch tickets.... what about the woman who won $50,000,00 and never had a ticket to present to the OLG...instead OLG contacted her to give away $50,000,000?? i mean like woww... I have a friend who hit $2,000 on Daily Keno and went to the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim his ticket and he was asked like 10 questions before they gave him his cheque of just $2000. But on media and to the world OLG showed how trust worthy they are by giving away 50,000,000 to someone who didnt even have the ACTUAL ticket to show.... complete fraud this OLG scam!
DeleteOverall odds of winning: 1 in 3.27.
DeleteTotal number of prizes available: 901,152.
Tickets received: 2,949,800
That's what they put on the detail page for Lucky Lines. Sounds like it's carved in stone, doesn't it? Obviously it ain't. If they don't put out the entire run then all the above numbers are wrong. Then at the bottom of the page they cover their asses with this little gem.
"The quantity of tickets ordered and/or distributed may vary and
could affect the published odds/prize."
Oh really? So which is it? They either received 2,949,800 tickets or they didn't. If they're going to screw us over - and they did - they should at least admit to it.
Darth,
DeleteThe OLG does not envision people playing these games with any sense of strategy. They think that everyone customer simply buys a ticket at the seller location based upon looks and feel. They're wrong about that and it is possible for us to effect change. You, of all people, have an axe to grind here.
Doug
Doug,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update always appreciate your insight.
Was wondering if your system for ranking the games takes into account interprovincial games. Specifically where total tickets are split amongst multiple provinces reducing the likelihood of all the prizes being in one province?
Or does this not matter for various reasons (example province specific prizes?).
I hope the question was clear enough. Thanks!
D
Diego,
DeleteThis point has been made before. Some folks specifically do not buy Inter-provincial as they want all of the revenue they contribute to go to the Province of Ontario.
As for your question, I use national numbers for the Inter-Provincial games. The reason being that although we know what the break down is for ticket distribution we don't know what the prize breakdown is on the same basis. If the games are random, which I assume they are, then Ontario could get more or less than the 38% of prizes that reflects its share of tickets.
If your took Prestige as an example, 38% of 12 Grand Prizes would be more than three but less than four winners. I get stuck on that point.
Thanks for the note.
Doug
My choice is to avoid interprovincial tickets because the odds are Canada odds I like to know exactly how many grand prizes are in Ontario which wasn't the case with lucky lines. .oops there I go again lol..
Deletethe odds and prizes are slightly better but high ticket cost and the potential of playing for a grand prize that possibly isn't even in Ontario makes me avoid them..but some people love them and thats all they play..gl
^all the tickets he's talking about are only provincial games. Exluding prestige classic gold and 20 million ordinare

ReplyDeleteVic,
DeleteI don't follow your scenario. Could you provide more detail please.
Doug
Be careful what you say here Vic ...lol..big brother OLG is likely watching..
Deleteyour post unless you get extrememly lucky and hit a big prize its a money losing proposition because the tickets need to be paid for ..and most games only return 55 to 65 % from small prizes. .you get in a big hole real fast..
lol not sure either, i was just drunk when i seen this ridiculous recall and scam olg did to us, they didnt think the ones who were coin the algorithm behind their games would catch. i would just like to see someone rig there system instead of them rigging us, but thats not possible
Deletealso darth, a lot of retailers in my area don't even scan or keep track of the tickets, you just pay and take em.
DeletePoker Is sitting at just shy of $160,000 again! I played 2 lines with nothing to show! Hope I do better tonight! CNE is the place to be for Lucky Ladies (the blackjack bonus game and not real ladies). I hit 3 lucky ladies and got a healthy $2,500 in bonus wins alone!
ReplyDeleteGood luck all!
I spoke with olg today about 1776 lucky lines and as I suspected got more or less the run around , the lady I spoke with I believe was trained on how to answer certain questions. ..it was like she was reading answers off a sheet lol..at first she told me the game was sold out until I corrected her on that then after 15min on hold she informed me they cancelled it
ReplyDeletebecause it's an old game
and they are making room for the "new more lucky lines"..lol I haven't heard about it but in sept 1st $3 horseshoes and $10 fortune
are being released but I have no knowledge of another lucky lines.
She also said there facility is empty of lucky lines right now , which leaves the question where are the missing 500,000 tickets she said they still at retailers ..
A true investigation I believe can't be started until after Dec 31 2016 ..we have to let the grand prize winners have time to come forward with there tickets apparently. .lol.
And to get all there revenue info for the game you have to pay a fee to Canada freedom of information act then hopefully you dont get denied..what a joke ..
So I thanked for her time and I expect I'll just move on..lol
cheers
She claimed that for certain they received the full float of 2, 949,800 tickets to there holding facility and all the tickets WERE distributed to retailers and currently the facility is empty of 1776 more lucky lines..how she knows this for certain is beyond me when earlier she just told me it was sold out..
it just raises more questions like where are
Not sure what happened to my post but the bottom part belonged in the middle and it kinda repeated ..sorry..I blame my android phone
DeleteDarth,
DeleteThe OLG Call Centre does a super job, IMO, and in fairness to the employee, she is simply reading canned responses to your questions. She likely knows less that you do about how it all works.
I have sent several Freedom of Information Requests to the OLG without getting much back in return. You have to know exactly what you are seeking in order to make your request effective.
I will write further about their criteria for canceling games. It is my view that the criteria should all be objective and I have communicated that to them. When you allow judgement into the equation then you create the opportunity for obfuscation on their behalf.
Even if a new Lucky Lines Game was coming on line, its not like there are often multiple versions of the same game available for sale at the same time. There have been instances in the past year where there were three versions for sale for a short period of time.
Their explanations are bogus. I don't know what the truth is but it is not what their pre-approved Q's and A's indicate.
Write them and request why they felt the game had lack of interest (which is BS) and how they justify the game to be pulled.
ReplyDeleteHow could that be possible with the amount of tickets sold since MAY

DeleteThey told me they can do it to any game at any time. Why bother playing if this is the case?
Good on you to call them on it. You know that they categorize their calls so your "complaint" has been registered somewhere.
DeleteI would also point out that the low sales argument is fallacious if you cut off the number of tickets being sent to retailers. I would find it very interesting to know if that final tranche of tickets was ever printed. I suspect that the answer to that question is no when you consider that ordering it from the supplier would have incurred a cost to the OLG.
This thing stinks no matter how you slice it or how the OLG tries to bob and weave. Write your MPP and let them know what you think.
Thnx Doug and everyone for your response .So much for transparency integrity ethics anti fraud and fair gaming policies which they seem proud to promote.
ReplyDeleteThe winning ticket holders have till Dec 31 2016 to cash in winning tickets and I think the olg lady said an accurate audit and revenue disclosure could be requested after that date...It will be a distant memory by that time..lol..
I really wonder where the missing 4 or 500,000 tickets are I don't believe for 1second they all sitting on retailers shelves..they were getting difficult to find even prior to aug 01. .
I believe either the tickets were never even made or they have them and never released them because with the 8% sales commision retailers get along with all the little prizes and large prizes they found it favourable to shut the game down early and keep the money and save the commision..they likely profited a bit by doing that.
I wish their details page was more transparent in stating that they can keep the grand prizes by way of cancelled games at any time lol..
especially when favourable too them..
thnx again for everyone's input, we all took a bath on the 1776 game but yeah I was the biggest loser sigh..
lost track but I believe I hit at least or maybe even slightly better than the expected 65% return on small prizes for the 1776 unlucky lines :)
Darth,
DeleteIt is like a logic trap. Everything the OLG says is defensible yet it takes us to a spot that is not defensible. It is my view that they should be required to continue to sell tickets until each and every grand prize for every game has been claimed. I understand that that would create some problems but to not do so places their integrity in question.

ReplyDeleteThat place is on fire....they had 2 poker lotto Str8 flushes in the last 3day's thats amazing. .
Pretty creepy address # they have..lol.
that what i was thinking... etoibicke sees very lucky..... idk how poker winners r determined.... is it based on how many people buy poker from a grocery store ... for example,,,, r u busy stores more lucky ....can a store give a grand winner twice
DeleteIm in etobiicoke i live 5 mins away from the store. That seems fishy as hell that location gave away 2 big prizes in a matter of 2 days. Mind boggling
ReplyDeletePoker is really lucky for me in etobicoke im still wonderin how that store won twice in a few days. It cant just be random but specially picked places for big wins
ReplyDelete***isnt lucky for me. Ive only hit 155 once

It seems to me this Lucky Lines fiasco is either the biggest con game ever or the baddest stroke of luck to happen in scratch ticket history. Either way it kinda throws the trust factor out the window. I know we spent upwards of $300 on them, not to mention gas money chasing them down at every obscure little ma and pa store with little success. I asked the guy at one of my regular outlets why they were cancelled and he said all the prizes were gone. When I told him otherwise he looked it up on his machine and could get no info at all on Lucky Lines. Strange since it's still available online. I guess he just assumed all prizes were gone, I should have asked.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure OLG is aware of this blog so I'd like to say to them and I'm sure I'm not alone here.
I am really pissed off at your total mishandling of this game. You robbed us. If you can't practice what you preach then get the hell out of the gambling business.
Agree Lloyd and yes in this wired online world we live in I'm pretty certain OLG been snooping around watching what people saying online. .
DeleteDang, poker lotto prize went two minutes before I pulled into the store. Would have been nice. Haha
ReplyDeleteYeah pokerlotto went I spent $50 since it climbed over 100k over the last 5 days and only won 2 free plays and $5 on night draws ..also only played 8 bonus cfl over the last few days net -$0- not real good..thnx cl66 for your odds update..
ReplyDeleteThe ticket I bought on Sunday I scanned yesterday and won $5. I bought another and scanned it today and won $25 which is 3/5. Lol almost.
DeleteI'll probably continue to buy a few once it hits $175k again.
I understand that their policies on scratch games with prizes over 100k are different but money multiplier may also be favourable for them to cancel , when you add the 2 grand prizes with all the small prizes and add their savings from the 8% retailers commission they may come ahead some by cancelling that game also..
ReplyDeleteI have a small store owner who I've become somewhat freinds with tell me he gets 8 cents for every dollar collected on the lower priced scratch card's. .possibly it is a lower commision on the $10 and $20 cards and on the kiosk games im not sure about but it's likely a lower commision. .
DeleteI was a big player in this game myself (1776) and I went ahead and called them up. I obtained the information I posted earlier. here it is again:
ReplyDeleteWrite them and request why they felt the game had lack of interest (which is BS) and how they justify the game to be pulled.
How could that be possible with the amount of tickets sold since MAY

We should all write in on this because I am sick and tired of OLG leeching off my hard earned money. There has to be some sort of integrity and they should be liable for changing the rules when it best suits them
I will join you in doing this also..I never really got a straight answer by calling olg..lol..first they said it was sold out then they said it was cancelled to make room for the new lucky line's, I think they just say anything in a friendly manner in hopes you just go away quietly.
ReplyDeleteWhen I asked where the missing approx.500,000 missing tickets were she assured me the whole float was delivered and distributed from there holding facility to retailers and that all the remaining tickets must be at retailers still because their facility is empty of the 1776 game..what a load of b.s.. .she asked how I could possibly know there was x amount of tickets left and I briefly and unsuccessfully tried to explain extrapolation in regards to float size..
yes I'm also upset and thinking twice about buying very many money multiplier in case they pull that same scam again. .
Did anyone good at math do the #s on lucky lines to see if they made a net profit on lucky lines by either not releasing or possibly not even printing the last batch...I know they made a lot more money than what the details page states they made but crunching the #s and adding in the commision of as high as 15% if the tickets never got printed I wonder their approx net profit just on that last missing bunch of approx 4-500,000 tickets is?
ReplyDeleteAnd I wonder what their net profit would be if they cancelled all the remaining money multiplier tickets with the 8% commission added in..? I came up with a rough estimate of break even for them on the remaining money multiplier tickets. .any one else crunch it out?
Cl66 or Doug hint, hint..lol...
Sorry Doug did crunch the lucky lines #s already ,still curious on the return from money multiplier. .thnx
DeleteMoney Multiplier Profit:
ReplyDeleteThere is Aprox. 412,832 Tickets left in circulation.
Retailers get 8% Commission for selling the ticket and:
3% for cashing a win of $300 or less
0.01% for cashing a win of $10,000-$100,000
Unsure of anything between $301-$9,999 let me know if any of you guys know.
So currently their profit stands for the 2,167,368 sold tickets:
$2,493,836
($10,836,840 - 8% = $9,969,892 - $7,476,056 in Aprox. Prizes = $2,493,836)
OLG profits for the 412,832 tickets left:
$482,487
($2,064,160 - 8% = $1,899,027 - $1,416,540 = $482,487)
So they make $482,487 but with printing cost it will be a lot lower so i can't see OLG calling them back since they are making a bit of money and it would cost a lot to try and collect them all and piss people off in the process, So I think this game should be safe from the OLG claws for now unless the grand prizes remain unclaimed for a long period of time.
Oops made a mistake on the 412,832 tickets profits, Meant to be $418,833 not $482,487.

ReplyDeleteBy my estimates, there are 260,000 remaining Money Multiplier tickets, so much less than was stated in a previous post - in my area, i`ve found about only 1 in 8 places had any - i don't expect anything fishy to happen with this ticket compared to Lucky Lines - with the printing costs comment, i would estimate that net costs to be 15-20 cents per ticket - i found some Lucky Lines yesterday at an "International News" store in the Atrium On Bay in downtown Toronto, which happens to be the same building the OLG prize office is located in, i bought 3 of the tickets by the way, they all were dud's - sorry, i`m not jumping on the WTF bandwagon like many of you are here as, with this game, as i`ve bought/loss much less on this than most of you here, so im not pissed off as many of you are, lol - most of us here know from the the OLG remaining prize page, that Sapphire 7's has had no top prizes remaining for a few weeks now, yet, on the "highlights" page for this game, it's NOT stated "All top prizes for this game have been claimed", i find this game available at EVERY place i go, this is THE game they should have pulled, NOT Lucky Lines! - a game i have not seen anywhere in the longest time is Classic Gold, a game i have rated high, mostly due to it's current estimated 28,000+ remaining prizes of $50+, the unclaimed prize page list 1 prize of $500,000 + 2 prizes of $50,000 available, yet the "highlights" page for this game DOES state "All top prizes for this game have been claimed" 0_o - 100 Million $ Prestige is another game i have not seen for awhile and it's another i rate high, an interprovincial game with an estimated 1.2 million tickets remaining in Ontario, it has 4 prizes of $1,000,000 + 2 of $100,000 available across the country, is there a million+ of these tickets in the OLG holding facility or? 0_o
Just wondering how you got 260,000? I used the number of tickets released in the info sheet and looked at what 16% of it would be since that's what Doug said was left and I got 412,832.
Deleteuhm.. "magic"? lol - jk - it's extrapolation - derived from the most commonly listed prize - taken today from the OLG page for unclaimed prizes - 506 available prizes out of 4976 for $100 equates to 10.17% - take the print run 2,580,200 x 10.17% = 262,376 ESTIMATED available tickets - Doug uses a different method than i do with his "stats", so his figures will always vary from mine - keep in mind that, his figures for Money Multiplier were from 4 days ago, so they would be lessened by today
DeleteI thought he did the same thing or I would have done the calculations by myself but it was 3:00am and I couldn't be bothered to figure that out and Doug's numbers were right there lol.
Deleteif he did the same thing - then that would mean 150,000 tickets have been sold in the last 4 days 0_o
DeleteHere is the break down for 260,000 tickets:
Delete$1,300,000 - 8% = $1,196,000 - $1,020,418 in Aprox. prizes = $175,582
So $175,582 isn't much and that's not even factoring the printing cost in so it might be in OLG favour to recall the tickets back but maybe since they pissed everyone off with the lucky lines they won't do it to this one.
I just realized I was looking at Doug's numbers for Lucky Lines not Money Multiplier which is 11% when I was doing calculations lol.
DeleteI haven't played much this week so on my way home I stopped at a different gas station and bought 2 Jacks are Wild. First time playing the game and both were winners $10 + $20. Both were wild symbol wins.
ReplyDeleteI've only bought 8 bonus cfl since last weekend but last weekend I seen a few stores with an awful lot of money multiplier.Maybe by being rural I see different variances than higher volume areas also I see some but not many classic gold and I've haven't noticed prestige in a while..thnx for estimating money multiplier for me..I'm going to try some later on..
ReplyDeleteGL
I bought 22 Money Multiplier a few weeks ago and got nothing. Pretty much zeroed all the money I won on other games this month.
ReplyDeleteYeah cl66 you 're right classic gold details page states all top prizes claimed yet unclaimed prizes list says 1 $500,000 ticket not claimed. ..another fishy observation..maybe they preparing us early because they making room for the new $10 fortune game which maybe interprovincial...no matter what they doing theres no transparency in what they doing...not like you can call and question it and get a straight answer...that issue along with those missing approx 500,000.lucky lines tickets ..no inintegrity or transparency...if you ask them questions they feel they dont want to answer they just tell you to apply to the freedom of information place..pathetic
ReplyDeleteI think its best to go to the Alcohol and gaming commission for this one. AGCO would probably do more "work" looking into customers concerns
DeleteThnx I look into ago...
Deletewith reference to classic gold it is an interprovincial game and the unclaimed prizes numbers for those games only get updated weekly which I knew but forgot...the olg lady said the last big prize was claimed out of province and there page isn't updated yet ..but the details page is correct. .so classic gold is now a dead game also..
Not totally dead ...a few 50k left...but the big prizes all gone..
DeleteWait... So the details page updated so fast for Classic Gold but what about Sapphire 7's? All the grand prizes have been won for weeks but the details page says nothing about all the prizes being won...
DeleteGood point Brennan. I had a few questions wrote down to ask olg and I forgot to question that...because yeah it's certainly a dead game..
Deletewith regards to AGCO they only handle getting the license for retailers. .they no help with scratch ticket discrepancy..
Tested 32 bonus cfl..
ReplyDeletespend $128
Win $32
5 winning tickets ..25% return. .gag..
ahh - further reasoning as to why my last ranking placed this game as 24th out of 30 - sorry Darth, its hard to resist taking a jab at BCFL - in part, today i tested 1 Royal 7's - cost $2, won $27, 1 wiinning ticket, 1350% return - giggidy ^_^
Deletesweet finally hit a 60 dollars win on 1 10 dollar wild 10s i bought.
DeleteThnx for rubbing it in cl66. .I was looking for money multiplier but I only went in 1 store and they never had any..lol..yeah that was a really bad bunch of tickets I bought..G L
DeleteUggh so much for Lucky Lines in Mississauga, I'm still trying to look for those scratch tickets, so hard to find its so bull how OLG takes away the games that has all the top prizes remaining
ReplyDeleteWent to Thousand Islands Casino for the first time today. Right at the front is a Willy Wonka I've never played. After 10mins min betting I was up $120. Played a few other games for an hour and walk out $100 richer. Can't say I recommend the place unless you want to play tournament poker.
ReplyDeleteNever been there I do enjoy tournament poker but all the good casinos are over 2 hr drive for me ..lol..probably a good thing..there's lots of horse track slots but I tried slots and wife and I really don't do well and don't like them..we prefer card games when we (seldom) go to a casino..

Perhaps this is a conspiracy theory. .but it has happened in the U.S.A. that when a scratch game becomes close to a break even proposition criminal activity has ensued for money laundering purposes and groups go around buying up all the said game that is favourable. ..Perhaps lucky lines became 1 of those favourable games and Olg anti money laundering unit had a say in pulling the game..crappy thing to do to the players but criminal activity takes priority I would think..
ReplyDeleteDarth,
DeleteThat's an interesting possibility.
Doug
Play smart
ReplyDeleteIt really helps if you do some "homework" before you buy your tickets - check the OLG website page for unclaimed prizes, no one wants to waste $ on a ticket if there is NO top prizes - the retailer you frequent should post this info or you can ask for a printout of such - many places post noticeable winning tickets they have had, if they sold a winning 3$ ticket of say, $250+ of the game you want to play, it's best to NOT buy from them - the best odds for say, a 3$ game to win $250+, is almost 9000 to 1 - that's possibly 1 ticket in 100+ sealed packs of tickets, more than most places would ever sell - your better off to try another place that has not sold a noticeable win on your ticket of choice - myself, i try to stick to a budget and decide what i`m going to buy before i go to a retailer - the only impulse buy i might do, would be an unexpected find, such as Lucky Lines or a new ticket i was unaware of, still keeping in mind to probaly just get 1 of them then - any noticeable wins i will pocket and not spend on an excessive amount of more tickets - small wins i use to give them another try - i accept any losses and don't get an urgency to go back asap and try that losing ticket again - play smart, not angry - please share any views you may have on how you "play smart".
"Know your limit stay within it"
DeleteKeep in mind most scratch tickets only return 55 to 65% in small prizes and for most of us that's all we shall ever see..
If you decide to lose $1k you should be looking at spending $2500 as you will lose approx. 40% of that which will give you your $1k loss..
That is 500 $5 tickets or 833 $3 tickets. ..
If you stressed about finances DON'T gamble. .
..I think you're just waiting to take another jab cl66 ..lol..
We have different ideas but I appreciate your input on Doug's blog..
cheers
I played 4 Lucky Lines and 1 ticket was a $3 winner and the rest were duds, also played Money Multiplier, also a dud
ReplyDeleteI found 36 tickets of Lucky lines in Goderich Mac's. Won $80. Another 5 tickets in Neustadt near Hanover won $5. Tickets are out there but likely very small towns. We need someone in the Thunder Bay area to hunt them down.
ReplyDeleteYou been running around my turf ...lol..I believe I cleaned out Hanover Walkerton and lots of other small towns up that way of lucky lines over the last couple months..
DeleteAnyone who likes this blog may find the texas state scratch ticket site quite interesting. .everything is laid out well and they seem very transparent, for example they give several weeks if not months warning about upcoming end of game dates and they list every prize even the smallest ones on their claim prize page as they are claimed...kinda makes extrapolation even easier. .I expect I will never get there but nice to see how its done elsewhere. .
ReplyDeleteDarth,
DeleteThanks for that information. I'm going to check it out.
Doug
I bought 2 Lucky Lines today, won $55.00 on one and the other nothing, not too bad.
ReplyDelete1 Caddie was a dud. 3 CFL won $4 + $20.
ReplyDeleteFound a place in Woodbridge that seemed less trafficked. Cleaned them out of 29 more lucky lines. Lousy $37 return.
ReplyDeletebought a cadillac $10 in brampton. won $100. i was worried i was going to win a cts for a second. imagine the insurance rates on those wheels.
ReplyDeleteLol..I'd take the cash option..if they had a 2015 Ford f150 option on the tickets I'd be all over them..
DeleteLol..no use for a cadillac here..now if they were offering 2015 Ford f150's I'd be all over those tickets. .
Delete??..why'd it post twice.first tells me an error so I repost it now its there twice..wonder how you delete. .
DeleteTest 37 bonus cfl..

56% return including a single $20 ticket. .I believe thats the expected return on this game for prizes less than $100..

ReplyDeleteLast week I checked 3 poker-all-in tickets, the first two I scanned were losers and the last one I was assuming was going to be as well, and then it wasn't!!
I WON $500 from the nightly draw!!! I was shocked, and it was a great end to a really crappy day for me.
I have never one that much before.
Good luck everyone.
Very nice! $500 can make any day a happy day.
DeleteVery nice hit..

I went out this morning and got an assortment of tickets - they had both the new tickets, so i took one of each - i haven`t seen $10 100 MILLION $ PRESTIGE in quite awhile, $10 FORTUNE appears to be replacing it - the place i went had $3 SCRABBLE yesterday, but not this morning, so $3 HORSESHOES appears to be it's replacement.
ReplyDeleteThe new Fortune has 400k more tickets than Prestige had. It also is paying out slightly less.
DeleteNo problem getting Multi or Scrabble tickets in my area. (East York). I see them but I don't buy them. I haven't been buying much for the last couple of weeks, not even my usual lunch hour ticket since the Lucky Lines screw job. Still feel like I was betting on a fixed horse race and I wasn't in on the fix. Yes, that's right, I'm still not over it!
DeleteI'm a sucker for a new game and went out looking to play Fortune. I didn't find it so I bought 2 Wild 10s. Won $10 & $30. That's good fortune!

Lucky lines has been removed from unclaimed prize list all top prizes unclaimed.
ReplyDeleteI also tried the 2 new games..
2 fortune net $0.. 3 horse shoes net $0..also struggling on bonus cfl..my last 40 tickets yield just under 50% return
Lucky Lines, as well as: $1 Bingo Express, $1 Red Hot 50's, the older $3 Bingo + $10 Turbo Cash have been removed from the unclaimed prizes page - apparently someone, in maybe India, is maintaining the site part time, as the highlights page for all these games are STILL listed 0_o - $5 Sapphire 7`s highlights page STILL does not state that all the top prizes have been claimed, while we all know, it seems like a month now since there's been any top prizes available - STILL, the $10 Classic Gold highlights page says all the top prizes are claimed, while the unclaimed prizes page says there are 2 $50,000 prizes available- I also tried the 2 new games and ended up with $0 Darth, i got them BEFORE i did my "number crunch" on them - my "score" on them means i won't be playing either of them unless their scores improve - way it is now, i dont like ANY of the current 3$ tickets, my choice games now are Wild 10's, Cadillac, Jacks r Wild, Royal 7's and maybe the new Crossword Tripler and Poker Lotto is a staple for me as well - no noteworthy wins for me now for awile on anything, come on KARMA! ^_^
DeleteTexas state lottery.org scratch offs.
ReplyDelete-several weeks notice of a game being called and around 2 months notice of final end of game.
- pdf file reports on end of game analysis easily accessible to public.., stating the pros and cons of ending a certain game ..and shows sales figures of a certain game along with good disclosure about they're overall final returns.
..yes like cl66 mentioned about printing tickets in batches it appears that is how they do it and potentially the last batch may possibly never get released. .also interesting they disclose there production and print costs for there upcoming ending games..
Along with there good transparency and disclosure you also get to see even the smallest prizes get claimed as there claimed prize page lists all prizes and all claimed prizes..
A down side is I don't think its updated daily and there floats are huge it appears most games have 10 or 15 million tickets..
I WANT OLG to incorporate some of their ideas and make them available to us..mainly the end of game report/analysis and disclosure ..
thnx
