More Lucky Lines #1776 Is Becoming a Freak

A wild week on the blog with Darth Vader roaming all over South Western Ontario scooping up entire packages of More Lucky Lines. When all the posters results were tabulated, readers purchased 461 tickets and obtained a return of 61.2% on their investment. The almost predictable oddity was that the poster who snagged the largest prize ($58) was the one who purchased the fewest number of tickets! The larger the number of tickets purchased, the more the results should trend towards the 60% figure for this game (excluding any prizes of $100 or more).

Even after our limited damage to the float, 23% (+/- 3%) of the float, or 672,000 tickets are left to be sold. All three of the Grand Prizes remain outstanding and, even more peculiarly, all four second prizes of $5000 are also outstanding. Very strange. But, as one poster indicated, when this sort of thing happens, they tend to go all at once. The tickets should begin to become somewhat scarce at this point so you may have to shop around. One poster also indicated that a new More Lucky Lines (yellow tickets) is now available for sale. The game is not listed on the web site but if that is the case please be diligent when buying.

MORE LUCKY LINES

Top Rated Games

  1. More Lucky Lines #1776 (23% of float left +/- 3%)
  2. 20X Lucky #1789 (14% +/- 3%)
  3. Money Multiplier #1769 (17% +/- 2%)
  4. Prestige #1741(28% +/- 7%)
  5. Extraordinary #1742 (88% +/- 4%)

Games to Avoid

  1. $4 Cash for Life #1165 - Game should be canceled by OLG policy. Horrible choice.
  2. $3 Tetris #1793 - Devoid of Grand Prizes, 15% of float left. Retire this game!
  3. $3 Cashingo #1801 - 3 of 4 Grand Prizes claimed; half of float left to sell.
  4. $3 Crossword #3205 - 1 chance in 10 million to win a $50,000 prize
  5. $1 Lucky Lines #1770 - Grand Prize or $50; nothing in between.

$1 - $2 Game Update

Nothing much going on here. Red Hot 50's is OK but its grand prize is only $50.

$3 Game Update

Have to play the recommended game although some posters may be sick and tired of scratching these tickets. Plus, it's easy to mess up and not realize that your ticket is a winner. As a poster reminds us all, always check your tickets. Bingo #3014 is the next best $3 game, if you must.

$4 - $5 Game Update

20X Lucky and Money Multiplier are both good choices.

$10 - $20 Game Update

Neither of Cadillac nor Classic Gold is worth your money.

Comings and Goings

$10 Cash for Life Family was retired this week with 1 Grand Prize left to claim. The $1 and $2 versions of this game were retired earlier. Each of those games also had one Grand Prize left when they were retired. There is but one of the original four games that is left for sale. You guessed it --- the one with no Grand Prizes. Come on OLG!

Personal Play

Like other posters, my 10 More Lucky Lines tickets return $21. I am loathe to admit this but an impulse buy of three Sapphire 7 tickets hit for $31 bringing me into profit status for the week. A lack of discipline should be punished by the gods, not rewarded.

Meanderings

I have received a couple of messages from readers that merit replies. I'll be working on those replies this week.

After two years of writing this blog, the number of people visiting the pages is growing. Thanks to all for reading. I also "Tweet" the link to the blog. You can follow me @Usockem. Re-tweeting it would be appreciated.

Saratoga opens tomorrow. If any of you are traveling through upstate New York between now and Labour Day, make the time to visit Saratoga Springs and spend a day at the track. It's not like any race track that you have ever seen before.

  1. The 3 stores that we normally buy our tickets have finally run out of Lucky Lines. They can still be found at small stores that aren't too busy. To be honest I'll be glad when they're gone. I don't really like the games that use symbols instead of numbers or letters. I'm always scratching the wrong symbol because they're so similar, or missing them entirely. Although I must admit that we're doing pretty good with them on the small prizes and totally striking out on Scrabble. I hope somebody here hits it, especially Darth who I think deserves a win. Of course I wouldn't mind winning myself. Best of luck everybody.

  2. I bought 6 lucky this week. 2 winners total $11.

There is a new black pearls $5 game that looks poor. Sort of an all or nothing game like cfl.

  3. Tried 4 lucky line tickets. No wins. Very disappointing.

  4. Bought 7 Lucky Lines yesterday and today, Out of those only one was a winner of $8! Bought 2 Scrabbles since I bought the last lucky line the store had and got one winner of $3 out of those 2. I don't think it will be hard to find lucky lines around here since we only have a population of around 16,000 and about 20+ stores sell lottery tickets and I have only came across one store so far that has ran out.

  5. That's the old lucky lines since the game # on the link came before this one that we are playing right now.

  6. There is still a couple of stores with lots to sell around me too. I've invested probably more than I want to on the tickets. I may wait and see how it turns out the next few days before buying more.
Every set I buy turns out many losers, and I'm probably around the 50% mark now, I stopped keeping track. I've been having coworkers help me and now they're sick of scratching them too lol.

I'm starting to believe at this point that maybe the winner was thrown out accidently. The odds of the top 7 prizes still out there have to be really low after this many tickets being sold. This thing is a freak ;)

  7. Tested 91 more lucky lines since my last post.
1- sealed pack and 21 loose tickets.
    Spend $273
    Win $163
    25 winning tickets including a $50 prize.
Amazingly hit olg 60% return exactly for prizes under $100.
Not overly happy with results .

    1. Correction. .wife and I scratched all these tickets and while cashing them in to my surprise we missed some prizes. Actually won $190 to give me a 70% return on that bunch. .we just rolled that over into another sealed pack along with 12 loose tickets I found..

  8. We cleaned out a couple of small stores of their tickets (7 or 8, I've stopped counting) but came up empty. There may be all the grand prizes remaining but there's sure a hell of a lot of losers still out there. As I said earlier, I'm getting tired of these tickets but my greed keeps pushing me to buy more. So let's get to winning the big ones and put this puppy to bed.

  9. hmm Well I could have sworn the yellow lucky line ticket I saw was 1775 and was told it was a new one. Maybe that retailer is selling old ones.

  10. Probably old tickets from older game..last week I saw a retailer selling the old c.f.l. $200 a week for life tickets and they been done for a long time..

  11. A different view...

Doug's odds were calculated with the top prizes in mind. While it's great of you could ever win such, i wondered what the view would be if the "goal" would be for just a 100$ or greater win. I used his same calculation method to come up with the following list based upon posted information from the OLG site from July 19th.

(All $1 tickets, 3$ TETRIS, 3$ QFGCROSSWORD, 3$ BINGO 3014, $10 CLASSIC GOLD and $20 200 EXTRAORD are not included in this list)

    2. Further insight...

Take a look at what a difference it can be, between a higher priced ticket versus a lower one. The Bonus-Cash-For-Life is "top heavy" as well, further reducing lesser prizes. These are the odds at the start of the games release, before a single ticket has been sold.

      4$ Bonus Cash For Life:
871 prizes of 100$ or more out of 9,884,000 tickets gives you odds of 1 in 11,348 to win 100$ or more / to win your 4$ back: 1 in 9.8

      10$ Cadillac Riches:
41,734 prizes of 100$ or more out of 6,587,800 tickets gives you odds of 1 in 158 to win 100$ or more / to win your 10$ back: 1 in 6.1

    3. I like how you think! These odds are very true. I won 50$ on my first Cadillac ticket. Profit: 40$. Won 3$ on my first 5 lucky lines. Profit: -12$

  12. Great thread! I too have been stalking the elusive More Lucky Lines winners without success. To date, I have purchased 82 tickets ($246) and have recovered only $76, thanks in large part to a $20 bonus this morning. Certainly not an encouraging rate of return. Like an earlier poster, I'm going to sit on the sidelines for a couple of days until the OLG site refreshes over the coming days. If any $5,000 or $75,000 were found over the weekend, the lucky ticket holders will likely claim their prizes on Monday or Tuesday.

I enjoyed reading the small-prize odds breakdown provided by Anonymous above. Whenever I visit the OLG website, I am only able to see the number of prizes remaining and not the number of tickets/float remaining. Is there another OLG page setting out the ticket float information? Or is this information only available from OLG or OLG retailers?

    Great website and comments!

    1. Thanks for the compliment on my post. The method i used is NOT based on actual fact, it is an estimate. I know someone who works for the OLG and was told that information, is kept confidential, that they cannot know it and that retailers are not given this information either. It would be nice if the OLG operations were truly transparent that they would state this information on their site. The calculation is based upon the % of the most commonly stated prize. As an example: let's say there is a ticket with 1,000,000 printed and there are 1000 prizes of 100$ upon it's release. If at a later time the site says there are 500 of those prizes remaining, it's assumed then that 50% of the tickets have been sold.

I've played upwards of 500 of the lucky lines and just uncovered my 3rd $50 prize this morning.yeah crazy odds still of hitting a big prize yet it seems bang on at spend $100 and get $60 back when you buy them in volume ..that's what keeps me going .just keep rolling the wins into more tickets

    1. So am I, The jackpot is up to 200k right now! I play 3 lines on one ticket because I find I win more prizes and have had friends win $100+ when they get 3 on one ticket. How many lines do you guys get on your poker lotto tickets? I don't really look at the cards because the display is too fast for my brain to process all the cards I'm glad it shows what you win at the end or I would have no clue lol, That's why I like wheel of fortune better because you get all excited when it lands on a $ spot lol.

    2. I matched 4 out of 5 on last night draw for 500$ ^ _ ^ Poker lotto has been my #1 choice play since it came out as, overall, i have won more often with it than any other game. I always play 2 lines on 1 ticket with all-in, if that gets nothing, then i will try one more 1 line all-in and thats the most i will go. I will amost play it daily if the jackpot gets over $100K

    3. Nice hit..so close to the big win..I also play it regular when its over 150 k

  18. I usually get 2 at a time and commit to $6 rather than $9. If I'm not satisfied with the 2 hands, I add 2 more! More lucky lines is over in my heart. I strongly believe that either someone has thrown away winning tickets not knowingly, or the tickets are hiding in Rural areas...
