No Playable Games

Well, last week's play dropped off the table when one of the More Lucky grand prizes was claimed in Whitby. We are now back to the unenviable position of having no playable games. What's worse is that it does not look like things are going to change for a while. The best game to play at present is the $4 Cash for Life # 1155. The other Cash for Life has a double grand prize but the first game represents better overall value.

Two games were cancelled this week: $3 Crossword and $5 Wildstar. Both games were long in the tooth with only 5% and 6% of the ticket float left in circulation when the OLG recalled all unsold tickets. Neither game was playable so good riddance to them.

Games to avoid this week are: $2 Golden Ticket, $3 Scrabble #1664, $3 Space Invaders #1272. All grand prizes for these games have been claimed.

The biggest seller this past week was the $3 More Lucky Lines. 15% of the float was sold this week. That's a lot. Are more people reading this blog than I think? The answer is no!

Cash and Cruises is the best play

There are three games that are currently playable. The best game is the $10 Cash and Cruises. The next best game is the $1 Hol Tripler. It is unusual that a $1 game ever becomes playable due to the high house take out and the relatively small grand prize. At present, your odds against winning the jackpot is a mere 133,000:1. That's pretty good. The third game is the Keno #1406 that has snuck back up the list since the claiming of one of the grand prizes two weeks ago.

The games being played most by the public over the past week were Mah Jong, Crossword, and Texas Hold'em. Mah Jong sold over 8% of its ticket float in one week! That's fine. Stick to the recommended games and get the best bang for the buck.

I play $20/week and this week I am going to focus on the Hol Tripler. Last week I bought 2 Cash and Cruises tickets, winning $15 on one of them. With what is going on in Italy, I'm not so sure that I want to win a cruise right now.

New Play - Cranium #1656

The Cash for Life #1154 game only lasted two weeks. A lucky player in Sturgeon Falls of all places won a grand prize. The result is that only one Grand Prize remains for the game and it is no longer playable according to our rules.

The new game (and only playable one at this time) is the $3 Cranium #1656.
This game provides players with 3 Grand Prizes of $75,000 each, a 1 in 3.27 chance of getting a winning ticket and 65% return on investment for the game. The current stats indicate that all 3 grand prizes are left to be claimed and 44% of all tickets have been sold. This produces a game rating of +9. We only play games with positive ratings.

The current "avoid" list includes Line Em Up 1639, Bonus Banco 1619, Keno 1406, Money Mult 1673, all of which have had all of the grand prizes already claimed. Would you buy a raffle ticket if you knew that the grand prize(s) had already been awarded?

New Play - Cash for Life #1154

The 20X Lucky game is no longer the recommended play. Two of the $100k prizes were claimed last week: one in Cornwall and 1 in Fort Erie. They were claimed on the same day! What were the chances?

The new game of choice is the $4 Cash for Life 1154. Be careful as there are two Cash for Life games currently being sold. At present, two of the three Grand Prizes remain outstanding and 74% of all the tickets have been sold.

This is a large game with over 7 million tickets in circulation. By Comparison, the 20X Lucky Game issue was slightly over 2 million. Another quirky aspect to this game is that the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th prizes ($50k, $10k, $5k) only have one ticket issued for each prize. You are three times as likely to win the grand prize than you are any one of the secondary top prizes.
