Cash Card #1876 Tops The List

Cash Card sits on top of the ratings on the strength of a 2.01 ratio of top prizes to top prize money. The problem is that only an estimated 13% of its float remain to be sold. There is only one Grand Prize of $75,000 remains and your chance to find it is 1 in 385,000.

One in every 3.52 tickets is a winner and one in 7.47 is a winner of more than $3. The game also features a high 6.8% of total revenue returned to players winning $100 or more. That is very high.

Comings and Goings

High Roller and Quest For Gold Crossword were retired since the last update. QFG was a dog almost throughout its entire run and will not be missed. High Roller was a good choice and was retired with 2 of its 8 Grand Prizes left and 18% of its float. I would have liked to have seen the game left alone a bit longer given that there are only 85 million total tickets for sale in the province.

New to the family is a new $500 Frenzy. This is a game that my formula does not rate highly but it is a perfectly good choice for people who want plentiful prizes and no large prizes. A poster has already claimed one of the 6,452 Grand Prizes.

Personal Play

Six Platinum tickets contained two winners of $70. A winning week? The gods must be smiling upon me.

Post Script

First off we have a story about a lottery group participant who tried to cheat his Tim Horton's buddies: http://on.thestar.com/2bBle3v . I'd have a hard time forgiving him.

And a story from the Ottawa Citizen about what is going on at the Rideau Carlton Raceway: http://bit.ly/2b4OSPl . If anyone can decipher the gobbly-gook that the OLG says, please let me know. All I know is that they're not happy with the hand that the local politicians have dealt them.

Best of luck to all.

    1. Never trust coworkers. Get scan/photo of every ticket for every draw from that group leader. I would be suspicious too if a relative hit the jackpot.

  4. I've been following this for a while but I'm still confused as how Lucky aces is not within the Top 3 of your list. Although Wild card has more chances still left of winning $100k (7) there is still two left of the $250k in Lucky Aces, yet you have never put it at the top of the list. Even winning above $1,000, it has way more chances than most ($1000 prizes + $1270 prizes). It's initial ticket count was at 1.4 million, which is low in comparison to most and now estimated to be less than 300k left. I was working this all out on excel previously but now using a web app which automates the pulling of data from OLG daily and works out exact odds and cumulative which is fantastic so I don't have to keep manually calculating it. Definitely cross check with http://scratchstats.ca/ because when I spend 10 bucks I want to know which game is best when I'm right at the cashier desk.

  5. Philip,
Thanks for your comment. I rate both games as being good choices. Your points are valid. The formula I use rewards the percentage of game revenue returned to players who win up to ten times the cost of the ticket. Wild Card has a slight edge in that measurement and that's why it is rated slightly higher. No quarrels from me if you disagree.

I like your web site and will mention it in my next update.

    1. Thanks for the reply Doug. Yeah wild card is still very good especially when only $5. I've been following lucky aces from the start as the initial ticket amount caught my eye as it was so low. I've been keeping an eye on it daily as still two lucky $250,000 tickets out there. At odds of an estimated 1:140,000 its fantastic compared to the lotto or other games. I still keep an eye on cash cards thanks to your advice(yet to find any)

  6. Johnny,

That is a good question. It was an earlier version of that game that got me interesting in the whole subject of scratch tickets. That was four years ago and a senior person at OLG wrote to me stating that they were unhappy with the game and that it would not return. I don't know why but he has been good to his word.

All you can do is call the OLG and register your suggestion. Who knows?

  7. One of the $250k Lucky Aces Jackpots was won way up north in Porcupine. Now that's has dramatically changed the odds in Lucky aces, I will have to find a new game to play haha
